Our resell partner in Norway, d:Signage, approached us with an interesting challenge. One of Norway’s largest companies, Virke, was refitting one of its most prestigious office buildings in Oslo. The interior designer had a vision about using screens in a different way that go beyond a standard screen. So no visible electronics! This challenge fits us like a glove, so challenge accepted.
The architect has defined a screen in the traffic area on each floor. These had to be incorporated in a wooden panel with a depth of 40 mm and covered at the front with a recessed glass plate. This is normally impossible for a professional digital signage screen solution. However, we have combined the techniques we use with the INVITE and INTERIO here. A regular 24″ landscape INVITE has been placed on the wall with a custom oversized cover with recessed glass plate.
The main entrance has a design wall with a special wooden rib system and LED lighting. The customer wanted a large screen on this special wall. The requirement was that the surface of the screen did not exceed the height (44mm) of the rib system. And the width also had to be aligned exactly vertically. Here we have placed two 55″ portait INVITE screens behind a double frameless cover with 1 large glass plate. This makes it one with the wall and gives a smooth look.
